Cookies

When you visit www.aurealis-creatief.com, our website may automatically place so-called ‘cookies’ on your computer’s hard drive. This enables us to enhance your browsing experience: cookies allow our website to function more effectively and ensure that it is tailored to your needs and preferences.

This Cookie Policy applies to all websites, and in particular www.aurealis.be, which are managed by Aurealis, Boudewijnlaan 1, 3590 Diepenbeek, Belgium, company number 0808 450 557, hereinafter referred to as ‘Aurealis’.

1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer when you visit a website. This enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as language, font, display options, etc.) for a certain period of time. The advantage of this is that when you revisit the website or navigate between different web pages, you do not have to reset your preferences each time.

Cookies are used to facilitate and improve the browsing experience. When you visit the website, cookies ensure that your personal settings are recalled. Furthermore, data is collected on how the website was used, enabling us to improve its overall performance in terms of speed and functionality.

Cookies never operate independently and are always linked to a website. Cookies do not, in any way, gain access to data stored on your computer or mobile phone.

If you do not want a website to place cookies on your computer, you can change your browser settings accordingly.

3. WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DOES AUREALIS USE?

Strictly necessary cookies are essential for enabling browsing and the associated functions. These cookies do not identify you as an individual. If you refuse these cookies, various functions within the website will be disrupted, either in whole or in part.

Functional cookies enhance the user-friendliness of the website by remembering your preferences (e.g. language preference). These ensure that certain settings are personalised at your request. If you do not accept these cookies, this may affect the performance and functionality of the website and may restrict access to content on the website.

Performance/analytical cookies collect data on website usage, such as the number of visitors, the time visitors spend on a web page and any error messages. They help Aurealis to improve the website’s performance. These cookies do not identify you as an individual.

What this website does technically

This website is built on Aurealis MySite and hosted by Aurealis (Belgium) on servers inside the European Union. Aurealis runs the website on behalf of its owner and processes your data for that purpose only. No data goes to any party other than those listed below.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file your browser keeps. This website uses these cookies:

CookieWhat forHow longSet byConsent needed
PHPSESSIDKeeps your visit together: what you fill in on a form, the confirmation after sending it, and its security. Necessary for the website to work.until you close your browserthis websiteno
LanguageRemembers which language you are reading the website in.until you close your browserthis websiteno

Visitor statistics

This website counts its visitors itself, on its own server, without a cookie and without an outside service. Of every visit it keeps which pages were viewed and when, which link brought you in, what kind of browser and device you used, and which country you came from. It does so pseudonymously: your IP address is kept only briefly, to derive the country from it on the server itself, and is then deleted. What remains is a code computed from the address with a secret key. Without that key the code cannot be traced back to you; with it, in principle it can, which is why this remains personal data. The technical name of your browser (the user agent) is kept readable: it says something about your software, not about you, and serves to tell visitors from robots.

This website keeps those statistics for the current year and the 2 full years before it; anything older is deleted. The owner of the website may change that period at any time; this page always states the period in force.

The server

The web server keeps technical logs (your IP address, the time and the page requested) to watch over the working and the security of the website. They are deleted automatically after 14 days.

What you fill in during a visit, the server keeps temporarily and encrypted in a session. It is deleted after 7 days without activity.

What you send through a form is stored encrypted in this website's database and delivered to the owner by e-mail. How long the owner keeps it, you read higher up on this page.
